Polk Neighbors

Neighbors Feeding Polk County

We are a group of community members coming together to be the village for folks who are struggling to buy groceries. We organized because of the government shutdown, which will cause 40,000 members of our county to go without their SNAP benefits. We work to provide families with gift cards and/or groceries. Community is everything, and our neighbors are in need of community more than anything. The economy has been difficult for many, but as some who have been lucky to not be without food, we'd like to ensure others are just as lucky too.

Neighbors Feeding Polk County is an all-volunteer, locally organized project and all financial gifts for this mutual aid initiative will be used to provide support for folks in Polk County struggling to make ends meet due to the SNAP crisis (and beyond!).

The Nonprofit Industrial Complex serves as the Food Security Collective's 501c3 fiscal sponsor and will be listed on your bank statement as such. NPIC takes no fees to serve as a sponsor and contributions to this project are tax-deductible.
