The Ethical Society of Zambia

The Ethical Society of Zambia is a humanist mutual aid community that celebrates the inherent worth and dignity of every person. The community lives its values of reason, compassion, democracy, justice, and sustainability through regenerative mutual aid projects that promote well-being and community health. They welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and perspectives to join in exploring ethical issues and ideals, and in building ethical relationships with each other and the earth. Some of ESZ’s projects include creating safe spaces for LGBTQ+ people in a country where being gay is punishable by imprisonment; disaster response and resilience locally and in their sister communities in Malawi; and food security.
